It gives me a great pleasure to greet the readers of this first issue of Suomi magazine. During the last couple of years an understanding on the importance of a joint information magazine has developed among the major actors on the Finnish community stage in Japan.
Thanks to the visionary thinking of a number of these people it has been possible to combine forces and the end product is here. I am convinced that while Suomi magazine will greatly improve the flow of information among the Finns and Finnish-minded people in Japan, it will also be a channel for all of us Finns, FInnish institutions and Finnish companies to reach an increasing number of Japanese friends and partners.
I wish Suomi magazine every success!
